Paul McSoley (director) early career started at Canary Wharf as an engineering apprentice before switching to construction in 2000 for Canary Wharf Contractors who gave him the best route into the industry anyone could expect.
He is a chartered engineer and has worked within construction for over 25 years from an Apprentice, Specialist Systems Project Manager, MEP Project Leader, Technical MEP Leader, a Design Leader for all disciplines on major iconic projects and a Technical and Compliance Director within large UK construction businesses.
He has been an active participant within the industry linking together the fire compliance problems of walls, structure, dampers, fire rated duct work etc into a system approach. He has also part of various technical committees and has a drive and passion to support the wider industry through steering committees, technical leadership, and knowledge shares. He is an advocate of passing on his expertise and experience on matters such as public health, water systems, fire testing standards & systems compliance, energy & carbon, contracts, construction delivery, commissioning, handover and is always happy to help.
He is currently support industry appointed as

- The vice chair of CIBSE Fire
- The process leader of the Passive Fire Knowledge Group (PFKG)
- A Member of BESA Technical
- A BSI Committee member FSH 22/3 Fire

- An Advisor to the local Thurrock Council Coalhouse Fort project.

Our experts understand the products and systems compatibilities extends and are able to support to ensuring these are dealt with compliantly at the right stage of the plan of works.

Our team understands the integration of engineering MEP systems with the building fabric, the importance of quality control, complexities of full system integration, along with impacts of various challenges on projects such as design process and change, services co-ordination, sequence, builders work procedures, appropriate materials & equipment, commissioning, systems completion requirements, operations and maintenance requirements and building readiness. This understanding allows us to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
We can offer specific commissions for the integration with various clients on a support and advice basis only and we do not perform design services.
